Abstract	This article analyzes the powers of the prosecutor directed to elimination of the law violations during pre-trial investigation in the criminal procedure of Ukraine and Poland. It is concluded that the Criminal Procedural Code provides wide range of prosecutor’s powers to respond to violations of the law by the pre-trial investigation bodies. Criminal procedural legislation of Ukraine and Poland fixes a number of similar powers of a prosecutor, but it is worth noting that the CPC of Ukraine took a step forward compared to the CPC of Poland, limiting certain supervisory powers of the prosecutor, at the same time providing prosecutor with effective leverage on the progress and results of pre-trial investigation.
